Rally Practice Days – July Fridays 3:30 – 5:00

Rallies are a vital part of the Pony Club experience and allow members to test their knowledge of horsemanship and riding in a unique competitive atmosphere. In all disciplines members compete as part of a team. Teams will be of mixed ages and skill levels. To ensure that competition is fair, members are judged based on their certification and competition level. Teams have 4-5 members including a Team Captain as well as a Stable Manager. Team Captains are responsible for representing the team in all official matters, while Stable Managers are in charge of coordinating the team schedule. Together, members work to ensure that each horse and rider is properly turned out and prepared to compete to the best of their abilities.

We will spend the next 5 Fridays working on the skills and equipment necessary for a Show Jumping and Dressage club rally which will occur on July 31st. The rally entry fee is included in the $40.  You will need to bring your horse if you have one.  There will be a limited number of horses to share (first come, first served) as well as stable manager positions which do not require a horse but are a vital part of the team.

Parents, this a great opportunity to spend some time learning more about Pony Club and to pack away some more horse management information.
